Overview of our clinical department and the diseases we target.

People may find it odd that there is only a Pediatrics department for children when there are separate internal medicine and surgery departments for adults.
In our hospital, we have a separate pediatric surgery department for children.
There are not that many diseases that require surgery yet are specific to children. However, when it comes to surgery, it is best to have specialists who are experienced in treating those conditions in children.
The most common issue is inguinal hernia, but there are also other surgical conditions such as appendicitis, umbilical hernia (protruding navel), cryptorchidism(undescended testes) accessory ear, infant perianal abscess (perirectal abscess) specifically seen in children which are fairly common.
Babies that repeatedly spit up milk or are constipated may in fact have conditions that require surgical intervention.
If you are told that your child requires surgery or has a condition requiring a surgical procedure, please consult our Pediatric Surgery Department and hear what our specialists have to say.
We do our utmost to ensure that you will be comfortable with the treatment that you will be receiving.
