Department of Medical Technology Support

About Medical Technology Office

The Medical Technology Office consists of the Clinical Laboratory, Radiology, Clinical Engineering, and Nutrition Departments. An atmosphere which makes you feel at home, we hope to be a familiar and "face-to-face" presence for both patients and medical staff. We also make every effort to contribute to higher-quality medical care in cooperation with the various departments of Kobe University Hospital.

Clinical Laboratory Department

Laboratory tests, physiological tests, pathology, and blood transfusion are carried out. We strive every day to provide more accurate and reliable test results.

Radiology Department

We perform a variety of imaging tests. All images are digitized and can be managed, diagnosed, and distributed by computer. We are striving to provide gentler and more reliable examinations.

Clinical Engineering Department

For safe operation of medical equipment, centralized management is conducted and we are aiming to provide safe medical care through the equipment. We would also like to be involved in equipment development and research from the perspective of a clinical engineer.

Nutrition Management Department

We strive to provide meals that can be enjoyed by patients while responding to their medical conditions. We also provide nutritional management and consultation according to each patient's needs.

Rehabilitation Department

The Rehabilitation Division provides physical therapy for hospitalized patients to improve their physical functions and daily life activities before and after surgery. We also conduct research on rehabilitation for cancer, orthopedic diseases and sports injuries.

About the Pharmacy

Pharmacy (oral and topical medications)

A prescription review system has been introduced to automatically check the dosage, side effects, etc. based on the patient's prescription information and laboratory values. The pharmacist examines the information including the test values and confirms the efficacy and safety of the entire prescription. By introducing a picking support system, we are creating an environment where safe dispensing can be performed.

Dispensing room (injectable drugs)

We have installed an advanced automatic dispensing system for injectable drugs. The safe and efficient assortment of injectable drugs allows pharmacists to spend more time checking prescriptions.

Drug Information Office

The Drug Information Office collects and evaluates drug information for the safe and proper use of drugs, and provides this information to doctors and nurses.

Operating Room

In order to ensure safe and efficient management of surgical drugs, the anesthesia tray exchange system is used.
