Reception

- ・The first appointment must be made by Kobe University Hospital or other medical institution (not by patients).
Medical Interpretation Service
- ・In principle, ICCRC requires foreign patients to visit the hospital with a medical interpreter.
- ・IKobe University Hospital IMCC can give the patients advice regarding medical interpretation.
  - Due to the risks of using an untrained interpreter in medical settings -
ICCRC requests a designated or trained medical interpreter even if a patient has their own interpreter or someone proficient in Japanese. There is a risk of misinterpretation due to a lack of knowledge of medical terminology if a non-trained interpreter is used during a consultation.
